Benari Poulten | Artist Council

Benari Poulten is a comedian and writer currently living in NYC. He was an Emmy-nominated writer/producer for FS1's Garbage Time with Katie Nolan and is a former senior producer and contributor for The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on Comedy Central. As a stand-up comic, he has played clubs across the country, from The Comedy Studio in Boston to The NerdMelt Showroom in LA and he has toured nationally and internationally with the G.I.'s of Comedy, most recently doing shows in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe. A Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve, Benari currently handling public affairs. He is a veteran of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, having served on 3 separate deployments, including Iraq and Afghanistan. He is affectionately known as G.I. Jew.
