OVERVIEW: Designed as a primer on the business of television, the workshop will cover a broad range of topics from the conception of an idea, enlisting the support of agents and managers in furthering one's career, pitching projects to prospective buyers and the creative execution of a project once from inception to broadcast. The workshop is meant as an introduction to the key aspects of television producing, demystifying the process and offering participants meaningful takeaways that can be employed to take their careers and projects to the next level.
WHEN & WHERE: This workshop will take place at the The Landing, ASAP’s new office, located at 5428 Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria, VA 22304 and will be available on two separate dates to ensure more space for participation. The workshop will be available on Saturday, July 27th from 12 PM - 4 PM or Sunday, July 28 from 9 AM - 1 PM. You can indicate your preferred date when applying below.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Sean Clifford is a New York City-based television and film producer and co-founder of 7 Out Productions. He is the executive producer of Bravo’s Summer House and was the creator and executive producer of Ovation’s music documentary series On the Record with Mick Rock, which featured artists Josh Groban, The Flaming Lips and Kings of Leon. Sean was previously a creative executive at RCG Productions, the shingle responsible for FX’s groundbreaking comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Prior to his time with RCG Productions, Sean was an agent trainee at William Morris Endeavor and graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies with a Film Studies concentration.
