Dani Aron-Schiavone | PROGRAM COORDINATOR, DC
Dani is a recent graduate of The College of William & Mary where she earned a degree in philosophy with a concentration in neurobiology. She received the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Commencement Award for qualities of “heart, mind, and helpfulness to others.” Dani became engaged with ASAP during her junior year at W&M, first utilizing her creativity and photography talents to capture programs and performances. She then became an intern for ASAP last summer and now is excited to be serving as the Program Coordinator for the DC Metro Area. Outside of her ASAP involvements, Dani has also provided therapeutic dance programming as a counselor in a residential camp for children with emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. She founded Relevo Photography - an organization that operates on a “pay-what-you-can” system and donates 100% of photo session proceeds to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in NYC. She is passionate about narrative medicine, active listening and interviewing, storytelling, therapeutic arts, and enacting creative, individualized ways to care for individuals and communities.
