Accepting Submissions for Original Works Of Art
From now until Friday, March 1st, we are accepting submissions for original works of art from the community to be included in an upcoming publication titled, A Common Bond II—An ASAP Anthology. This written work includes stories from our veterans, service members, and military families who have participated in ASAP's classes and workshops. The publication will include poetry, fiction, and nonfiction writing.
All artists are welcome to submit 1–2 pieces for consideration. Submissions from veterans, service members, military family members, and caregivers are highly encouraged.
Current written themes include: Personal Experience, Military Service & War, Peacemaking (with self & others), Faith, Transition, Disruption, Journey, and Mental Health.
Please be sure to indicate whether you would like your submission(s) to be considered for cover art. All cover art submissions must be thematic to the writing being published (see bullet above).
Artists of all mediums and genres may submit. (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, Glass, Fiber, Functional, Digital, Photography, Installation, Mixed Media, New Genres, etc.).
Submissions will be produced in black & white in the final publication.
ALL art submitted will be reviewed. Those with accepted submissions will be contacted by March 8th.
ASAP does not offer any remuneration to artists contributing to this publication.
Deadline to Submit: Friday, March 1, 2019, 11:59PM
All submissions must be done online (link below). Keep in mind that submissions are not guaranteed a place in the anthology.
Important Information To Know:
Please upload high resolution images in JPEG (preferred) or PDF.
How to save your image files: For the sake of uniformity, please save your image submission(s) using the following naming procedure: Last Name, First Name_Title. (For example: Vermeer, Johannes_Girl with a Pearl Earring)
Piece details: title, medium, size, date, and a few sentences describing each of your submissions.
